Why did we make the change from SelectedWorks to Pure?
The vendor that provided SelectedWorks made the decision to retire that product. Knowing that several stakeholder groups relied heavily on profile pages for recruitment purposes, the Library chose to migrate to a replacement profile solution known as Pure.
How do I access the Pure portal?
To access the Pure portal, go to https://pure.aah.org/
I noticed something I’d like to change on my profile. How can I do that?
You may request access to edit your own profile if you would like. Please fill out this form to make that request and we will send further instructions. Otherwise, if it is a relatively simple change (new profile picture, title change, etc.) and you would prefer the Library make it on your behalf, please email us with your specific request.
How are works pulled into my profile or group page?
Any works that are added to SHARE will be pulled into all appropriate individual profiles and group pages. If it's not in SHARE but should be, please submit it so we can add it. It is also possible to pull in previous scholarly activity from before your time at Advocate Health - Midwest, and that is something you could do once you have access to editing your own profile (see previous FAQ). To maximize the works associated with your Pure profile, it is helpful to add identifiers, such as ORCID.
What happened to the image thumbnails in my profile or group page? I miss them!
We miss them too! Unfortunately, the replacement option for SelectedWorks does not allow thumbnail images for individuals works at this time. We've let the vendor know that this is something we would like so it may eventually become possible in the future.
Will this change affect any of the reports I receive related to my own or my program's scholarly activity?
No, you will continue to receive the same scholarly activity reports you have been receiving. These reports originate in SHARE, our institutional repository, and will be mostly unaffected by the SelectedWorks to Pure migration. There will likely be a reduction in download count numbers as a portion of them were coming from SelectedWorks. If you would like your historical statistics from before the migration, contact the Library and we can get those to you.
