A Simple Strategy for Using QuickSearch

Use the Quick Search box on the Library's homepage for an easy search if you are short on time or prefer to use a Google-like search. 

Step1. Think about the study design you are interested in. See our guide on study design for a quick review.

Step 2. Think abut any keywords or phrases for your topic. Keep it simple and use only the most important words or phrases. 

Step 3. Go to the Find Articles tab on the Quick Search box, enter your terms, and join them with "AND".

Some examples are:

  • randomized controlled trial AND pressure injuries

  • systematic review AND inpatient AND falls

  • qualitative research AND nurses AND burnout

Step 4. Your search terms will be in bold on the results page. Use the filters in the left column to refine your search and decrease the number of results.
