Finding an Article for Journal Club: Where to Find Articles

If you need an article for journal club, this guide will give suggestions on choosing a topic, where to search, and what to consider when evaluating articles

Where to Find Scholarly Articles

Start your search from the Library's website, and you'll have access to full-text articles in the journals that the Library has in its collection.

Choosing a resource to search in can impact the quality and quantity of your search results. Match your topic or clinical question to the most relevant resource, or resources, to find the best selection of articles.

The table below provides some suggestions to get you started. See our full A-Z Resource Listing for more resources. You can filter the A-Z list by subject or type of content (like journal articles) to help guide you to the best resources for your topic.

Google Better with Google Scholar

We get it, Google is familiar. But do yourself a favor and try Google Scholar, which limits results to scholarly articles.

The Library has connected our full-text articles to Google Scholar so you won't hit as many paywalls. Look for the "AAH Library Full Text" in the right column and click that link whenever you see it. Be sure to use the Library's Google Scholar link if you are offsite to make sure you see the full text links.
