Learn how to perform an effective literature search by translating a research question into a search strategy in a database such as PubMed

Saving Your Results

Saving to the Clipboard in PubMed

Your Clipboard in PubMed will keep everything you save to it for 24 hours. This tool helps you gather items as you search so that you can either send it to an email address, save it to a citation manager, or save it within NCBI, if you have an account.

Saving to a Citation Manager

If you decide to save your results to a citation manager, PubMed will create a file that is then automatically downloaded. This file can be opened with a reference management software.
