Citation Management: Quick Citation Tools

This guide will introduce you to citation managers, both what they are, and specific tools you can use

When to Use a Quick Citation Tool

If all you need is a quick citation or two, consider using the tools built into databases, or a free tool like ZoteroBib. If you're creating a bibliography, need in-text citations in a document, or are managing a long list, consider using a more robust tool such as EndNote or Zotero.

Look for "Cite"

Most research databases like Pubmed and vendors like EBSCO or OVID include a quick citation feature in their product. Look for "Cite" to copy/paste their recommended citation for the style you choose. Always double-check citations.
