The American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB) encourages midwives to incorporate evidence based care into their practice. Once a year, the AMCB releases a new learning module in one of three areas of practice:
- Antepartum and Primary Care of the Pregnant Woman
- Intrapartum, Postpartum and Newborn
- Gynecology and Primary Care of the Well-Woman
Each module is active for 34 months and contains a reading list of 15-20 articles.
Please see the American Midwifery Certification Board website for additional information on the certification process.
