Recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties, the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) certifies emergency physicians who voluntarily meet its educational, professional and examination standards. The Lifelong Learning and Self-Assessment (LLSA) reading lists are released on a yearly basis.
The American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM) provides board certification to osteopathic emergency physicians. The Continuous Osteopathic Learning Assessment (COLA) reading lists are released on a yearly basis.
