History

In 1984, Good Samaritan Medical Center and St. Luke's Medical Center joined together to form St. Luke's Samaritan Health Care. Then in 1987, this affiliation changed its name to Aurora Health Care after a merger between Good Samaritan and Mount Sinai Medical Centers. In 2018, Aurora Health Care merged with Advocate Health Care of Illinois to form Advocate Aurora Health. Then in 2022, Advocate Aurora Health merged with Atrium Health (Charlotte, NC) to form Advocate Health.
