The Library’s general contact number (414-389-5870) was setup in Cisco Jabber, which is a phone technology that is being phased out by HIT in favor of Rainbow Business Telephony for Microsoft Teams over the next several months. Due to the change in telecommunications technology, the Library team considered how important our shared number is in the context of all other contact methods to get in touch with us available including:
Library leadership determined that the shared phone number is one of the least used contact methods by our library users and that most of our interactions come to us via other contact methods. Therefore, we will not seek a replacement solution.
Effective July 1, 2024, the Library will remove references to our shared telephone number from our website and other contact documentation. Library clientele who would like to contact a library teammate by telephone should consult the webpage for the Advocate Health - Midwest Library location that is closest to them and either call the phone number for the library listed or follow the link for one of the staff listed and call the phone number listed on their staff directory page.
