LibKey Nomad is a browser extension that provides seamless full-text access to scholarly articles available through Advocate Health – Midwest Library. LibKey Nomad was recently added as a browser extension for Edge on Advocate Health devices, and you can learn how to install it on the LibKey Nomad guide.
After it’s installed, LibKey Nomad shows up on sites like Google Scholar, PubMed and Wikpedia, and on publisher websites like JAMA, NEJM, and Springer. In Wikipedia and PubMed, LibKey Nomad buttons show up under each citation in a list of references or articles; on publisher websites, LibKey Nomad shows up as button in the bottom left-corner of your screen. Use these buttons to get one-click access to subscription articles.
If an article is available through a library subscription, you will be prompted to log in to LibLynx with your Advocate Aurora single-sign-on credentials (the same ones you use for Office365 and SharePoint). If the article is unavailable through the Advocate Health – Midwest Library, you will be taken to a form to place a request for the article.
This extension can be installed on your Advocate Health computers or on your personal devices.
Take advantage of LibKey Nomad to get seamless access to the articles you need from wherever you are.
