Features of a Personal Account

With a personal Ovid account, you can: 

Creating an Account

  1. Go to MEDLINE (Ovid). If you are not on the Advocate Health network, you will be prompted to login to LibLynx. Use your Advocate SSO account.
  2. Click "My Account" on the top-right side of the webpage. 
  3. Select "Create Account."
  4. Fill in the registration information and select "Create Account."

If you plan to use MEDLINE (Ovid) while working remotely, or you switch work locations, it is important to know which institutional account your Ovid Account is associated with. You can find out this out by typing USERINFO into the MEDLINE search box.

Ovid USERINFO account information

Typically, Ovid users who are working at Aurora sites, using Workspace VPN, or connecting through LibLnynx are connected to the ah9991 account. Ovid users who are working in Advocate sites or who are using Zscaler VPN are connected to the advo9991 account. 

Advocate Health - Midwest Region teammates can use either link to search MEDLINE (Ovid), but if you need to sign into a personal account, you will need to use one of the specific links above.
