New Advocate Aurora Library Website Includes Remote Access

by Karen Hanus, MLIS, AHIP on 2022-01-10T15:37:00-06:00 in How To | 0 Comments

The Advocate Aurora Library is excited to bring you a new Advocate Aurora Library website which will offer flexibility of access to the Library’s electronic journals, databases and electronic books from anywhere you need them. On your phone, your home computer, or on any device, you can access the new website without being on the institutional network and without a VPN connection. The new design offers quick links to popular resources as well as customized guides to help you find information that supports your learning, research and patient care.

The new website (https://library.aah.org/) will be linked from Caregiver Connect, Top Apps, and Epic on January 11, 2022. Remote access via LibLynx will enable you to connect to library resources such as electronic journals and databases from anywhere, anytime, and on any device. This will also enable full use of BrowZine, an app designed to organize and read our scholarly journals on any device. Learn more about the new website from our quick guide or watch our video.

When using the library website and our resources from off-network, you may be prompted to log in with your single-sign-on credentials (the same you use to connect to SharePoint, Office 365, and other tools). The first time you do so, you’ll be prompted to register for LibLynx. After registering, you’ll be connected directly to the resource you linked to. The next time you are prompted to sign in, you will not be asked to register again unless your account has expired. Advocate Aurora team members who connect to the library resources via the VPN or while on a networked computer won’t need to register for LibLynx and will not get any sign-in challenges.
