Are you looking for guidance on how to write for publication? The library's new medical writing guide provides quick access to resources to help you craft clear, organized and impactful writing. The guide also has pages with specific resources for writing case reports and for writing in nursing.

The library offers additional guides to help you through the writing and publishing process such as citation management, copyright, finding and using images, and the systematic review process. We also have a guide on how eligible Advocate Health - Midwest teammates can submit cases to BMJ Case Reports.

A few of the eBooks you'll find on the medical writing guide include:

The section "Analyzing" reviews commonplace problems in the statistical analysis and presentation, and how to resolve those problems. The section "Drafting" describes what to write in all the various parts of a paper (the Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Abstract, etc.) The section "Revising" explains and illustrates how to improve the writing style of any manuscript.
