Mission Statement

The Advocate Aurora Library’s mission is to help people live well.  The Library provides value to faculty, learners, physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, pharmacists, caregivers, and team members who are accessing information in support of education, research, and health care.

Vision

We will realize this mission by:

  • Building and maintaining a current, authoritative collection of resources pertinent to the educational, clinical, and administrative programs of the health care system.
  • Providing services necessary to meet the educational, clinical, and leadership information needs of our clientele.
  • Creating welcoming, safe, and useful spaces to support our clientele as they engage in scholarship, study, innovation, collaboration, and reflection.

Clientele

The primary clientele of the Advocate Aurora Library are Advocate Aurora Health’s physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, pharmacists, caregivers, team members, residents, fellows and students affiliated with programs of Advocate Aurora Health sites.  Online resources provided by the Library can be accessed via Advocate Aurora Health networked computers, Epic, or otherwise through Advocate Aurora Health SSO credentials. Library services can be requested through our web site, email, telephone, or in-person.  On-site Library spaces and hard copy collections are accessible to personnel with badges issued at respective sites.
