Remote Access Options

UpToDate is provided by Advocate Health - Midwest Health Information Technology (HIT). Remote access is not available via LibLynx.

Remote access options:

  • Register for a personal account. See instructions below.
  • Use the mobile app. Click the mobile app link on the left menu for instructions.
  • Access in Epic. See our Remote Access via Epic guide for instructions.
  • Use the VPN. See our Remote Access via VPN guide for instructions.
     

Registering for a Personal Account

UpToDate can be utilized remotely by using your UpToDate account.  Those who do not have an account can create one.

Steps to create an UpToDate account:

  1. While on an Advocate Health - Midwest networked computer, go to UpToDate.
  2. Click "Register" and enter all the requested information, using your Advocate Health - Midwest email address.
  3. You will receive a verification email from UpToDate that will qualify you for remote access.*

*Re-verification of affiliation with Advocate Health - Midwest is required every 90 days. Re-verification can be completed by logging into UpToDate using an Advocate Health - Midwest networked computer at least once every 90 days. UpToDate will email teammates when re-verification is needed.
